Weight
Mariam hasn't had her 4 month appointment yet (She's exactly 4 months today) so I'm not sure how much she weighs, but like every month, she's packing on the pounds. Pretty soon I'm not going to be able to lift her and the car seat together out of the car anymore. It's getting heavy!
Health
So far so good. We don't seem to have anymore issues with gas so that's a good thing. I've also been eating more cheeses and she seems fine with it. I still haven't drank any milk though. I may try to start soon.
Sleep
Sooo much better. She's finally on more of a schedule now which is awesome. She will wake up for the day anytime between 6am and 9am and be ready for her first nap around 10am. Her afternoon nap is around 2pm and then around 5pm. She officially goes down for the night between 9:30 to 10:30 pm. She usually wakes up twice a night but for the past week, she's been only waking up once or not at all.

Clothes
My big overgrown baby Huey can already wear 6 month clothing. She can wear some 3 month but it's getting short on her. I'm having so much fun dressing her. It's fun dressing Layla up to, but she's getting to the point where she is constantly getting her clothes dirty and stained...or trying to take them off. Did I tell you about that time she tried to take her own poopy diaper off? No? Well good. You probably don't want to know...

Diet
Milk and so far so good with the breastfeeding. She still latches on great and eats about every 2-3 hours. Sometimes she does this weird thing where she won't latch on unless I'm physically standing up and sort of rocking her. I can sit back down, but only if she's calm and latched on. I mean that's all good as long as she eats, but not so good when she gets like that in public...like say church. Uh no. I'm all about breastfeeding in public but I'm not about to pull down my top and dance around trying to get her to latch. That time we had to get to a private place.

Crying
You guys, the heavens opened up and the angels poured forth some heavenly blessings because hallelujah hurricane Mariam has now moved down to a category 1! 2 weeks ago, the crying from sun up to sun down stopped. As I mentioned she's more on a schedule now and just overall happier. She's also grasping at things and things are getting her attention, so she's finally able to entertain herself a little. What a relief! Tensions were getting high around here. It was so draining and I was frazzled and taking it out on everybody. Some days H and I were snapping at each other which isn't like us, and it was rough. Thankfully it's so much better now. I've been making it a point to get some "me" time and we are all happier overall now.
Milestones
Mariam is so alert. She wants to see everything and everybody. She also loves to smile now and is always ready with one. It's so cute! She can also grasp things now and she loves to swipe at things. It's lot's of fun, except those two times she knocked my breakfast off the table. That...not so fun.

Products I'm loving
This month it's those little bright stars animals and crinkle toys. She loves those things and so do I. The bright colors and shapes keep her entertained for awhile. She gets mad when they fall out of her reach, but as soon as I put them back she resumes to playing and all is right with her world again.
she is so cute, seeing these photos makes me really miss the baby stage!!
ReplyDeleteShe is precious! My little one can wear six month clothes too! I am so happy to see that I'm not the only one with a baby who wants to eat every 2 to 3 hours. I don't usually get lucky enough to have 3 hours in between.
ReplyDeleteLandry is spitting up more than usual and she is still fussy, especially at night. I was actually wondering if it might be from all the tomato and tomato sauce I have had lately.
her hair and her thighs are ah-mazing! love her!
ReplyDeleteThose thighs! Good to know the fussiness levels out at some point! My baby fusses all day long!
ReplyDeleteHappy four month little one!! pretty as ever!! I love the goldish bow :)
