The modern and chic coffee table you never knew you needed

The kids actually went to sleep pretty fast tonight thank God! Let me tell you, bedtimes have been a bit stressful for me...who am I kidding? Very stressful these days, because Ava only wants me to put her down. She's very much going through a "mommy only" phase. So at bedtime just when I think one or two, or all three are ready to drift off into dreamland, they need yet another sip of water, or they decided they need a stuffed animal to sleep with, or they do in fact need to use the bathroom. Arghhh!!! Sometimes it takes forever for them to get settled and then I've had it. I console myself with the fact that one day bedtime will get easier, and then chocolate. Hey, but on the Ava sleeping front, she had 4 good nights in a row this week. That's great progress! 

I've gone off on a tangent here about bedtime when we're supposed to be talking about coffee tables. I've actually been on the hunt for awhile even before we bought our new sofas. I knew I wanted one with a white table top, or all white, so it wouldn't of mattered what sofa's I bought, it was going to match. Usually my first stop is Offer Up. I am very much a bargain shopper. If I can buy it used and refurbish it myself, that's the route I'll go first. I didn't see anything that I really liked so I moved to looking at new one's online. I ended up falling in love with one from Joss & Main and it's the perfect size for our living room! The white table top and gold legs are super chic and fit my color palette perfectly.

I love how the neutral setting allows me to easily interchange items when I get the urge. Also, all the Opalhouse decor from Target was all marked down on clearance when I bought it, but showing regular price online. The tray was actually only $5.

Nursery Update {Pretty Prints}

I recently bought two prints for the nursery and I'm in love and hooked on gold foil prints! It also makes me happy knowing I'm supporting other small businesses owned by women. I just need to figure out where to hang them.

The nursery is still slightly looking the same minus a few pieces because I have most of the new decor hidden away in a closet. The girls are little cyclones and let's just say I'm not ready for them to possibly make a mess of things yet. My older brother should be coming over within the next week to stencil the wall against the crib and I can't wait to show you all the room once it's complete.

New Year's Eve Recap

In about 2 minutes it's going to be January 2nd 2014. I should really be in bed considering I didn't go to sleep until 3:15am last night. Yawn...so sleepy, but I was up late anyways tonight working on orders. I thought I'd pop in with some pictures of the girls. I made a cute little glitter banner that I wanted them to take pictures with new years eve, but have you tried getting three girls to sit still and smile? It's not easy! This is pretty much the best of the bunch.

When I went to Target this past weekend, I couldn't pass up that adorable gold sweater and those maryjanes. The best part is that they are currently on clearance. I also bought a matching headband. The gold polka dot bib is a recent addition to the shop and they are selling quick! They are quite gorgeous if I do say so myself.;)

All gold all the time

I love gold and polka dots, put the two together and it's a win-win. While I was Christmas shopping a couple weeks ago, I couldn't pass up this adorable gold polka dot makeup bag from Forever21. I haven't shopped there in forever as I'm just not that into their clothes anymore, but I couldn't pass this up for under $5.
