I'm still alive

I haven't blogged in a week and a half which is pretty long for me, but I've been so busy! Busy is normal for me and I still manage to blog consistently, so let's just say I've been extra busy then. When you have 3 kids, your 8 months pregnant, have a baby line to run while trying to also launch a new line--well these things happen. I've got some fun posts coming up next week so stay tuned.

I post a lot on Instagram & Facebook, so feel free to follow me there to keep up with the latest. On Instagram I share family/personal photos so it's not just business. ;)

Our weekend

This weekend was nice. Relaxing and tiring all at the same time. Saturday I spent some time sewing for the home. I made throw pillows for the master bedroom and cloth napkins. Originally the cloth napkins fabric was going to be made for baby bibs, but I just wasn't feeling the print for that after all. I love the way the pillows came out but I wish I would have made them a little bit bigger. I'm currently revamping the master bedroom even though we are in this condo temporarily. I'll be sure to post pictures once I'm done with it.

Later that day we all went grocery shopping, had dinner and then homemade banana split sundaes. So good! Much better than store bought.

Sunday I thought the weather was going to be cooler because it had been raining the past few days and the temperature said 85 degrees, so I thought it would be a good idea to check out the Miami zoo. Boy was I wrong about the weather. I'm pretty sure yesterday was the hottest day of the year! We were sweating like crazy. Nevertheless we explored for about 4 hours but didn't get to see everything. After a while we couldn't take the heat anymore and the girls were getting restless. I had been getting a ton of braxton hicks contractions throughout the day, but they calmed down later. My oldest isn't picture because she was spending the weekend with family. We plan on going back to see the rest of the zoo with her once it's fall and the weather is cooler.

Staying stylish and comfortable with Kushyfoot

I don't know about you, but I always have to be wearing something on my feet. I hardly ever walk around the house barefoot because I hate feeling any crumbs on my feet. I also like to keep my feet feeling cozy. With three girls to look after, I spend a lot of time on my feet!

Occasionally I'll just wear socks but most of the time it's cute slippers. I go through a lot of slippers--just goes to show you I wear them down from being on my feet so much. I ripped my last pair and it was impeccable timing that I was asked by a company called Kushyfoot if I wanted to try out a few footwear products around the same time. I was sent several items and my favorite are the flats to go. They are super light and the padded sole offers built in comfort. I love wearing them around the house daily.

I plan on taking these to the hospital when baby number 4 makes her arrival. Another one of the items I plan on using a lot are the sport foot covers. While breastfeeding will make the pounds come off, I'll still need to exercise to tone everything back up.

They have so many different products to offer and sent me a few more items that I can't wait to wear once I start wearing heels again.

If you are looking to add some comfort and style to your feet, check them out here!

Kushyfoot sent me these products to review but I was not compensated for this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Hi!

I didn't blog at all last week because we took a little vacation to Texas! We drove there to go visit our family and friends. Surprisingly the drive with two toddlers wasn't bad. Layla and Mariam did really well. Serena stocked a tote full of toys, books, colors, and they each had a tablet so they stayed pretty occupied. They also slept a lot which was good. Mariam would get a little frustrated at times being strapped in a car seat, but still she did good. She did lie to us like three times about pooping in her diaper so we would have to pull over at rest stops a lot more than we would have liked, but I've got to give her credit for being smart enough to play us haha! Btw, we are going to be working on potty training next week. My goal is to have her potty trained before the baby comes. Back to Texas though. It was so nice to see my dad again, my in-laws and our closest friends. Also yay for not having to cook, clean or worry about work! I took my camera but can you believe I did not take one picture with it!

Today H was back at work so it's me and the girls again. We did some shopping today at Home Goods, Hobby Lobby, and then Target. I brought back my old bedspread that we had left by accident in Texas before we moved and after seeing this picture by Joss & Main, I'm totally inspired to update the master bedroom using it as inspo.

I already have the bedspread, but I spent some time last night scouring the Internet for similar pillows. Didn't find anything so I'll just make them myself. It will be cheaper anyways and I found similar fabric at Hobby Lobby. I also picked up some fabric to make more things for baby #4.

I've been needing a bath mat for the master bedroom and more towels so I found these at Home Goods. The candles are from Target.

A bumpin Rocksbox Review!

A few weeks ago I heard about Rocksbox which is a fashion jewelry subscription service. I was a bit skeptical about the idea because I'm not really big on subscription boxes, but part of the reason is because I've never actually tried one. Rocksbox reached out to me a couple weeks ago and asked if I wanted to try the service for a few months and let me tell you, I'm so glad I said yes!

The box it came in was adorable and everything was nicely packaged. I was really impressed with the quality of the jewelry and right off the bat, the statement necklace was my favorite. In my first box I received a Perry Street necklace, circle stud earrings from Gorjana, and a bracelet from House of Harlow 1960. I really want to keep the necklace but we'll see. I probably won't be keeping the bracelet because I'm not crazy about jewelry with black in it, and the earrings were a bit too big for studs for my liking, but all three pieces are gorgeous.

The statement necklace goes with a lot of tops and I recently paired it with my new top from Nordstrom along with the bracelet.

That bump! Loving this flowy top and I know it's going to make it all the way to 40 weeks!
